It’s a great way to meet new people and grow deeper in your Catholic Faith. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for any of these, please give us a call!
Church Schedule
Mass Schedule
Saturday evening Mass All Saints 5:30PM.
Sunday morning Mass St. John’s 8:30AM. and All Saints 10:30AM.
Daily Mass times are in the parish bulletin.
Confession
Saturdays- 4:45-5:20 P.M. at A.S.
Sundays- 8-8:20 A.M.
Before 10:30A.M. if possible.
Weekdays 30 minutes before Mass.

Adoration Hours of the Blessed Sacrament
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at All Saints every Wednesday-Thursday 8am-8am
Everyone is invited to come and make a holy hour with the Lord. Come and pray, meditate, read the Bible or another Catholic book.
Devotions
First Friday and First Saturday devotions are held during those Masses respectively.
Rosary
is started 20 minutes before each Mass.
Liturgical Duties
Acolytes
Men trained to serve at the Altar. They are installed by the Bishop.
Altar Servers
Third grade and older boys who have made First Communion. Talk to Fr. Buhman when your son is ready for training.
Extraordinary Ministers to the Sick
Volunteer men and women trained to bring Communion to the homebound.
Greeters
All parishioners are given the opportunity to sign up for a weekend Mass to greet people at the doors of the church and to pass out the bulletins. This sign up is usually in September.
Lectors/Readers
Volunteer men and women, trained and/or installed to do the Scripture readings at Masses.
Presentation of Gifts
All parishioners are given the opportunity to sign up for a weekend Mass to carry the gifts to the Altar in the offertory procession. This sign up is usually in September.
Musicians/Vocalists
Organists, guitarists, pianists, other musicians, cantors, adult and the youth choirs. New members and instruments are always welcome.
Rosary Leaders
Volunteers who come to Mass at least 20 minutes early to lead the congregation in the Rosary.
Ushers
Volunteer men and women who seat people at Mass and take up the collection.
Organizations
Altar Society
All women of the parish are automatically members of the Altar Society. Altar Society promotes spiritual betterment and social enrichment. All Saints Altar Society meets the second Monday of the month through the school year at 5:30p
St. John’s Altar Society
meets after Mass on the fourth Sunday of the month.
Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)
The youth groups of our parishes offer service, social, educational and spiritual events to Junior High and High School students throughout the school year. Check bulletin for meeting and fundraising opportunities. All Youth are welcome. Adults interested in helping are welcome. Call those listed in the Church Contacts.
Knights of Columbus
A fraternal service organization that provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Church, their communities, and their families. Membership is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See who are at least 18 years old. Meet the first Monday of every month at 7:00 P.M. at All Saints Parish Hall.
Legion of Mary
A lay Catholic organization whose members are giving service to the Church on a voluntary basis. The object of Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of it’s members developed by prayer and active cooperation in Mary’s and the Church‘s work. Meetings are Saturday’s, 8:15 A.M. at All Saints.
PAWSS (Pupils and Adults Working to Support our School)
The Parent/teacher association for ASCS and Little Saints invites any adult and youth to help promote and enhance Catholic School events and activities.
Parish Committees
-Building and Grounds, -Education, -Evangelization & Stewardship, -Fellowship & Communication, -Finance, -Social Action, -Spiritual Life & Liturgy.
Every member of the parish is welcome to join any committee you have an interest or talent for.
Parish Council
All Saints Parish Council meets the third Monday of each month. Members are elected to a two year term to serve on the council and as a liaison between the parishioners and the pastor.
St. John’s Trustees
meet as needed.
School Advisory Council at All Saints Catholic School
Elected adults who are parishioners or parents of students at All Saints.
Serves as an advisory committee for the school. Meeting held on the fourth Monday of the month excluding July and December.
Education
All Saints Catholic School (ASCS) & Little Saints Preschool
Established in 2001, ASCS is fully approved by the State of Nebraska Department of Education. Call to register. Currently, ASCS has all day kindergarten through the 4th grade.
Little Saints Preschool has half-day sessions for age 3 & for age 4-5.
Baptism
A baptismal instruction class must be scheduled with Fr. Buhman before the baptism of your child. Please contact Father before the birth of your child.
Bible Studies and Adult Faith Studies
Many sessions are held throughout the year. Call the office for details.
Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)
Religion classes at All Saints are held on Wednesdays through the school year for Kindergarten through 8th graders, from 6:30-7:50 pm. The catechists help parents hand on the Catholic Faith to their children. Students prepare for Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation, along with learning the Catholic faith and traditions. Students attending ASCS need not attend CCD but are welcome.
GodTeen
The GodTeen Program is a catechetical formation program for high school students of the parish. The program of weekly meetings is meant to further a deeper understanding and love of our Catholic faith through discussion facilitated by a married couple from the parish. The Godparent couple commits to a four-year program and each teen remains in the same group for all four years
Instructions in the Catholic Faith Classes
Given by Father Buhman throughout the year for those people wanting to become Catholic or current Catholics wanting to learn more about the faith.
Marriage Preparation
Engaged couples must contact Father Buhman at least six months before a hoped wedding date to begin marriage preparation classes. Twelve months is even better.
Stewardship
Small study groups look to the life and teachings of Jesus for guidance in living as Christian stewards while learning to share a portion of their time, talent and treasure.
Summer CCD (Totus Tuus)
Held for a week each summer for all students of the parish. This is a necessary and required time for our CCD program. The date is determined by availability of a Totus Tuus team or other teachers. All children are welcome.

CCD Teachers, aides, and CYO sponsors
Volunteers who want to grow and share their Catholic faith with our youth.
Church Decorating
Done by volunteers each month. Extra people are always needed especially during the holiday decorating times.
Church & Hall Cleaning
Although the Church is cleaned weekly, we rely on parishioners to help with the deep cleaning of the Church and Hall twice annually.
School Volunteers
ASCS volunteers help in the classrooms, at snack and recess, in the library, transport students to public school, to teach the children a special skill or hobby and many other areas. More volunteers are needed. Call the office.
Events Include
Blaze Banquet
The major annual fundraiser for All Saints Catholic School. Dinner, an auction, and entertainment make it a very enjoyable evening. Keep the faith burning at the Blaze Banquet each November.
Fish Frys
All Saints has become famous for their Lenten Fish Fry where you can enjoy the best fried fish on this side of the Platte River along with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. Sponsored by the Knight of Columbus. The Altar Society sells dessert also.
Golf Classic
Fundraiser for All Saints Catholic School used for specific items needed for the school.
Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest
Held for youth each winter. Winners go to compete at other K of C Free Throw contests.
Knight of Columbus Tootsie Roll-Drive
A national annual drive that benefits people with mental disability.
Mosaic Christmas Party
Held at All Saints every December for the local Mosaic Clients. Parishioners are asked to donate a Christmas present and come to the party to help spread Christmas cheer.
St. John’s American Legion Brunch
held at Bertrand Senior Center the first Sunday of each month.
Socials, Receptions, and Dinners
Parish potlucks, family game nights, appreciation dinners, weddings, graduation parties, funeral dinners, etc. Also, the Church Hall may be rented for private parties.
Youth Mass/ Friendship Sunday
Held the first Sunday of the month from October to May. A CCD class is assigned the liturgical duties of the Mass, the Youth choir may sing, and afterwards everyone is invited to the Church hall to enjoy rolls & juice, a potluck, or parish dinner sponsored by the Altar Society.
St. John’s Youth Mass
is held the third Sunday of the month with rolls and fellowship following.
